How we work

Fewer things, chosen slowly.

A room reads as calm when its materials agree with each other. We start with the surfaces you touch — stone, oiled wood, washed linen, unlacquered brass — and let the plan follow the light.

  1. Material first

    Honed travertine, oiled walnut, washed linen, unlacquered brass, smoked glass. Surfaces that age instead of wearing out.

  2. Hospitality habits

    Lamplight at eye level, a place to set a glass down, a tray by the door. The small courtesies a good hotel gets right.

  3. Restraint as a finish

    Plain silhouettes, generous negative space, one warm metal. Nothing added that a room does not ask for.
